Avalon Library Board approves officers and 2026 operational resolutions

NJ AVALON — Avalon Library Board approves slate of officers and unanimously passes 2026 operations resolutions. The board approved President Jacquie Ewing, Vice President Carl Mattia, Treasurer Jim Craft, Secretary D. Lynn Schwartz, and Recording Secretary Lisa Sasdelli to continue in their positions.
The board authorized 34 checks totaling $141,950.68 and voted unanimously to hire Pat Raspa as a year-round part-time museum assistant at $24 per hour for 19 hours weekly. Five operational resolutions passed unanimously, addressing cash management, legal services, personnel reappointment, and deaccession of a circulation desk and laptop from the History Center. The library is exploring expansion to a larger 17,000 square foot facility on 39th Street.
