Library Board approves 2026 budget and capital plans

NJ AVALON — Avalon Library Board approves 2026 budget and capital allocations for three years. The Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve Resolution 19-2025 authorizing the 2026 operating and capital budgets and Resolution 18-2025 allocating capital reserve amounts for 2026 through 2028. Board President Jacquie Ewing led the meeting, which included four trustees present.
Director Erin Brown reported the updated three-year capital plan represented minimal changes from the prior year, while architects develop concept studies for potential library building projects on 32nd and 39th street sites.
