Planning Board approves roofing and pizza kitchen variance in 8-1 vote

NJ AVALON — Avalon planning board grants variance relief to allow outdoor pizza kitchen at local establishment. Vice Chairman Chuck O'Hara presided as the nine-member Planning and Zoning Board voted 8-1 to approve Tide Holdings LLC's application for roofing over outdoor seating, a fence, and shed-to-pizza-kitchen conversion, with member Greg Kizeik dissenting. The board unanimously approved variance relief for Constance Boyle's renovation or reconstruction of a single-family dwelling at 324 39th Street.
On second reading, the board unanimously approved Ordinance 904-2026 to amend Chapter 27's definitions of front and rear yards for Master Plan consistency.
